Hyundai Forklift Trucks has been selected by the UEFA tender committee to cater to the materials handling needs of the UEFA European Football Championship's final tournament in Poland.

According to the agreement between UEFA Switzerland and Hyundai's exclusive distributor in Poland, TOOLMEX TRUCK Sp zoo, the latter will provide full-service rental of 10 Hyundai forklifts together with forklift drivers for materials handling needs at four Polish football stadiums - Warsaw, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Poznan - over two months.

UEFA officials chose Hyundai forklifts because of their "excellent technical parameters and reliability", fuel economy and environmental features, and the good references provided by long-term Hyundai forklift customers.

Witold Wydrzynski, CEO of TOOLMEX, says the distributor's success in Poland is the result of "long-term co-operation" with the manufacturer, Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea, and the European distribution arm, HHI Europe.

The order value is not disclosed.
