The Crown TSP 7000 Series reaches six storeys. |
Crown Equipment Corp is marketing new MonoLift mast-equipped turret trucks that Crown says have faster lift speeds, more capacities at higher elevations and greater operator control and comfort.
The Crown TSP 7000 Series reaches 675 in. (17.2 m), or six storeys, and delivers most loads to full height. The Crown TSP 6500 can reach a total of 531 in. (13.5 m).
Crown says the series features a main lift speed of 120 ft. (36 m) per minute, which is a 41% gain compared to conventional lift trucks. It also delivers a 25% advantage in travel speed and can complete a full traverse in five seconds and pivot a full 180 degrees in six seconds.
Warehouse operators gain flexibility in being able to place most loads at any height or open slot. In many applications, going from eight levels to 11 levels with the Crown TSP Series equals nearly 31% additional storage capacity, effectively boosting usable warehouse space.
Boxed-in cross-section construction supports the rigid design of the MonoLift mast and significantly minimises twisting and swaying.
"In today's ultra-competitive environment, our customers are seeking new solutions to improving productivity and maximising their cube," says Matt Ranly, senior marketing product manager. "The Crown TSP Series, like the Crown RM Series narrow-aisle reach truck, is changing the way managers think about the design and operation of their high-density warehouses and distribution centres."
The operator compartment can accommodate a cold storage cabin allowing operators to remain productive in environments where temperatures can reach as low as minus 40° F (-40° C).
The series has regenerative braking and lowering systems that capture lost energy and return it to the battery. This regenerative technology, combined with the option to use a larger battery, position the turret truck for energy savings and run time improvements that depend on the application. The Crown TSP 6500 utilises 48V batteries, while the Crown TSP 7000 utilises 80V and 72V batteries.
A fully adjustable MoveControl seat orients an operator to efficiently handle the load at hand. Integrated, intuitive controls built into the armrests allow pinpoint control and the ability to blend multiple functions simultaneously.
The New Bremen-based forklift manufacturer launched the TSP Series in February.
