TMHE has introduced the BT Movit range

TMHE launches BT Movit

Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) has launched the BT Movit range of load carriers and towing tractors with towing capacities up to 3 T.
Some of the load carriers include shelving for sorting during the assembly run, and others have built-in steps for access to higher-level storage.
The BT Movit S-series towing tractor is derived from the latest BT Optio low-level order picking truck family. The machine is suitable for heavy-duty use in warehouse towing applications.

New forklift safety system

Flow-Rite Safety Solutions Inc has introduced Crossing Guard, which it claims is the only forklift collision awareness system that requires the detection of two separate motors to trigger an alarm.
By requiring two inputs, Crossing Guard aims to reduce "nuisance alarms". The system also detects the presence of motionless individuals, which is a common cause of forklift accidents and fatalities.

Mitsubishi's new forklifts

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has added two series to its range of electric counterbalance trucks.
The three-wheel FBTCA series, available in 1.3, 1.5, 1.8 and 2 T capacities, are fitted with wet disc brakes as standard. They help offer "powerful braking with minimal wear".
The four-wheel FBCA series is also built to high specifications and has optional features that include cold storage specification, a choice of tyre fittings and fingertip hydraulic controls.

Yale launches heavy-duty trucks

Yale Materials Handling Corp has introduced the heavy-duty MPE060-080VG and rider series for demanding applications.
The new series with a capacity range of 6,000-8,000 lb. (2,722-3,629 kg) has an undercarriage that has been enhanced with more robust tie bars, frame sections, linkages, casters and bearings, for greater strength and stability. Yale says this equates to steadier load handling, longer up time and greater durability.
The truck's forks have also been reinforced with 25% more steel.
