Willi Liebherr and his sister Isolde Liebherr, have assigned a proportion of their shares in the Liebherr Group's parent company to their children.

Willi Liebherr, president of the administrative board of Liebherr-International AG, and his sister Isolde Liebherr, who is the board's vice president, have assigned a proportion of their shares in the Liebherr Group's parent company to their children.

This is part of the group's succession planning and ensures it remains an independent, family-owned company. Initially, Jan Liebherr, Stéfanie Wohlfarth, Sophie Albrecht and Patricia Rüf, who are third-generation family members, will assume responsibility for corporate management and supervisory tasks, and will later take on other responsibilities.

Cargotec has appointed Frank Kho as senior vice president, terminal projects and offerings. Kho has over 20 years of industry experience in senior management positions at the world's leading port operators like the Antwerp terminals of PSA and HPH terminals. He has headed container operations with significant operational efficiencies in cost per unit moved, and with improved service levels.

Briggs Equipment has appointed Gary Clements as strategic development director. Clements has over 25 years' experience in materials handling, and managing and developing global service sector businesses. He was managing director of Barloworld UK.

Douglas Gillespie Plant, Scotland's Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks dealer, has appointed Ian Law as customer services manager. Law has over 35 years of materials handling experience. His career includes a wide range of roles, from designing forklifts for a leading international manufacturer to selling them in Britain and abroad.

London, United Kingdom
The United Kingdom Warehousing Association has appointed Michael Collier as its new honorary advisor on health and safety matters. A chartered safety practitioner, Collier has a host of safety-related qualifications including a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Management and Diploma in Safety and Environmental Management.
He also writes extensively on health and safety matters and was a judge in the 2010 IMHX Design 4 Safety Awards.
