The State of Georgia will hold its Fourth Annual Georgia Logistics Summit on February 8, 2012 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga. The Summit is the only state-led collaborative event of its kind and size in the Nation and continues to rapidly grow in attendance each year. In 2011, the Summit hosted 1,300 attendees from 21 states with 85 percent of the participants from the private sector. This year's theme for the Summit is "Sustainable Competitiveness". Attendees will get a chance to hear from logistics companies on 1) what is being successfully done in logistics to sustain their competitive position in the market and 2) what topics and trends are jeopardizing their competitive position.
The
2012 Summit will have three keynote speaker sessions addressing topics such as health of the global logistics ecosystem, maritime logistics outlook for 2012-2020 and international trade opportunities. In addition, six breakout "Opportunity Sessions" featuring more than 40 speakers from private-industry logistics "users" will be available offering a valuable first-hand logistical perspective on selected growth markets.
Registration for the Summit includes
free admission to MODEX 2012, the largest exposition for manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the Americas in 2012, which will be held at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga. on February 6-9, 2012.
