It is well known that Chinese companies copy Western products, even those that have been patented. Prosecuting these companies is not easy, but that seems about to change. Such copying practices are not particularly beneficial to the Chinese government, which has been making more and more advances towards Western companies and has a financial interest in conducting business in a legal manner.

In a joint effort MSE-Forks and Arnold & Siedsma (a law firm specialised in the legal protection of intellectual property rights) have successfully ensured the withdrawal from the market of a Chinese company copying the RollerForks. RollerForks® has also been patented in China and the product has been successfully marketed in that country by MSE-Forks importer Vita-Wheel. This most likely drew the attention of the company in question, which probably thought that it could comfortably enjoy a slice of the pie. In fact the company had the audacity to approach various MSE Forks importers and offer them the concept under a different name. To top it all, they even sent photographs that had been taken straight from the MSE-Forks brochure. In a coordinated effort the MSE-Forks importers were able to gather the evidence needed for Arnold & Siedsma to deal firmly with the company in question.

Increasing numbers of companies are stepping over to palletless shipping methods due to the high costs of pallets. By doing away with pallets, especially for sea container shipments, major cost savings can be made.

Slipsheets v. Pallets
  • Between 12 and 15% more goods in material handling containers
  • Zero maintenance and easy replacement
  • Significant reduction in material-handling costs
  • Up to 60% reduction in loading/unloading time
  • Twenty-fold weight reduction, saving on shipping weight
  • Customizable to fit any size load
  • No need for pallet exchange
  • Reusable and reliable
  • Most are recyclable
  • Cost-effective
  • ISPM 15 and HACCP-compliant

Palletless handling

If customers decide to move to palletless handing, then a slipsheet attachment needs to be purchased, e.g. RollerForks® or a PushPull attachment. The one-time purchase of either RollerForks® and/or a PushPull system means that customers are then dependent on a regular supply of slipsheets. Quality, price and delivery reliability are issues of major importance when selecting a slipsheet supplier.

MSE-Forks has launched a website listing a huge choice of such suppliers at www.slipsheetsuppliers.com. This website makes MSE-Forks' supplier portal the most comprehensive and up-to-date available. When you curious about our products we invite you to come to the ProMat show in Chicago. With a booth of 1200 square foot we show all kind unique products like our telescopic forks, RollerForks and latest concept of the PushPull.
