In 1992, he was appointed Barloworld Handling South Africa managing director and in 2002, he was appointed on the board of Barloworld Equipment Co South Africa. He is now responsible for Barloworld Handling's operations in the UK and Southern Africa.

He joined Curtis in 1983 as managing director for Curtis UK, which included sales, service and manufacturing operations. His most recent position was vice president of European operations.
