The United Kingdom’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has appointed Samatha Peace as director of the regulator’s Energy Division.
Peace will replace current director Chris Flint, who will retire from the workplace health and safety regulator in April 2024.
Originally joining the HSE in 1995 as a factory inspector, Peace has held senior leadership position’s in HSE’s Field Operations Division.
She is also a member of the executive committee of the International Association of Labour Inspection (IALI).
Alexander Susanek

Palfinger has appointed Alexander Susanek as chief operations officer.
Susanek was previously the managing director of BMW Motoren in Austria.
Palfinger chairman Hubert Palfinger says: “With Alexander Susanek as COO, we are securing the transformation of Palfinger into a leading global technology company on a long-term and sustainable basis.”
Susankek has experience in various operational areas and key positions at both MAN Trucks and the BMW Group. He studied mechanical and industrial engineering at the Technical University of Munich.
Friedrich Eichler

CNH Industrial has hired Friedrich Eichler as chief technology officer with direct responsibility for technology, innovation, quality, design and their related divisions.
Eichler has more than 30 years of experience in automotive engineering with carmakers Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz, including leading the development of advanced powertrains and innovative technologies.
He will replace Marc Kermisch who filled the role on an interim basis.
CNH Industrial chief executive officer Scott W Wine says: “I am confident his leadership and technical acumen will further enhance and accelerate improvements across our R&D organization to further propel our advanced engineering capabilities and overall platform strategy.”
