American manufacturer Mi-Jack Products, which makes container terminal and materials handling equipment, has teamed up with Terberg Taylor Americas to produce a line of yard and terminal tractors.

Mi-Jack’s position detection system (PDS), a GPS tracking system for terminal operators, distribution centres and warehouses, is a key element of the collaboration.

PDS will be available factory-installed on the new generation of Terberg Taylor Americas yard and terminal tractors.

As well as two diesel models, the range includes the electric YT203-EV, which has various battery capacities, including a thermal management system for use in hot and cold climates.

The YT203-EV uses standard DC chargers and has easy access to components, minimising maintenance downtime.

Terberg Taylor Americas is a joint venture between The Taylor Group of Companies of Louisville, Mississippi, and the Royal Terberg Group of the Netherlands.

The company manufactures terminal and yard trucks at its new USD15.9 million factory in Columbus, Mississippi.

“Mi-Jack has represented Taylor Machine Works for over 13 years and we are excited to increase our portfolio offerings by adding terminal tractors produced by Terberg Taylor Americas,” says Rob Heinz, Mi-Jack sales and engineering manager.

“We are three like-minded, family-owned companies producing machines manufactured in the United States.”
