Material Handling Supply Inc, doing business as MHS Lift, has invested in expanding its geographic reach and is experiencing "positive" results.
"We have seen an increase in business and an increase in customers," says Robert Levin, MHS Lift president who founded the business in 1970 with a core market in the Philadelphia metropolitan area and nearby contiguous territories in south New Jersey and Delaware.
"We've had our main office in Brooklawn since 1976," he says. "In 2005, we opened a branch in New Castle, Delaware and then, in March 2011, we opened another full-service branch in Seaford, Delaware" targeting forklift users in the Maryland and Virginia portions along the eastern shores of Chesapeake Bay. The Seaford branch has 10 employees including department supervisors and occupies about 5,000 sqft. (2,250 sqm).
MHS Lift began representing the Nissan brand in 1974 and Crown brand in 1975. MHS Lift also represents Hamech forklifts, Genie aerial lift equipment and Taylor-Dunn tractors, carriers and stock chasers and provides systems and equipment for warehouse management.
The UniCarriers Americas Corp
transition for the Nissan brand is "going well", Levin says. "UniCarriers is dedicated to the lift truck business."
MHS Lift has 139 employees. "In the past year, we have added technicians and administrative people," Levin notes.
