MHI members can connect with qualified international materials handling and logistics buyers via a member pavilion at CeMAT Hannover 2014. |
CeMAT Hannover, Europe's leading trade show for the materials handling industry, is partnering with the Material Handling Institute (MHI), the US's largest materials handling, logistics and supply chain association.
Larry Turner, president and CEO of Hannover Fairs USA, says: "All signs point toward solid export growth for the US materials handling equipment industry in the next few years. MHI members who choose to take advantage of this strategic partnership can expect to efficiently boost exports by connecting with highly sought-after buyers and decision-makers from across the globe."
MHI members can connect with qualified international materials handling and logistics buyers via a member pavilion at CeMAT Hannover, which is on May 19-23, 2014.
Expo organiser Deutsche Messe claims CeMAT Hannover draws a larger share of international attendees than any other materials handling industry event. More than one-third of attendees are from outside Germany. MHI members who exhibit in the pavilion can expect to meet highly qualified, well-informed international buyers during the trade show.
According to a Sundale Research report on the State of the US Material Handling Equipment Industry, published in July, US manufacturers can access a wealth of opportunities in foreign markets. In 2012, exports accounted for 17.7% of total US shipments of materials handling equipment, a figure that is expected to rise through to 2017.
MHI is offering up to eight members the opportunity to participate in the trade mission and present their technologies to an audience of 60,000 expected attendees at Pick & Pack Hall 12. Members will receive pre-show and onsite marketing, and organisational support from CeMAT and MHI.
MHI, formerly the Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA), offers education, networking and "solution sourcing" for members, their customers and the industry through programming and events including its award-winning trade shows ProMat and Modex.
Hannover Fairs USA develops and manages marketing programs at Deutsche Messe events in Hannover, Germany, and the US, and in emerging markets like China, India and Turkey.
