Registration for the IFWLA (International Federation of Warehousing Logistics Association) Annual Convention to be held in Liverpool, UK on June 1 to 4 is now open.
This will be the third time that the convention of the IFWLA will be held in the UK.
A four-day program is planned for about 250 national and international delegates, comprising manufacturers, retailers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers and other supply chain and logistics practitioners. The international convention will be underpinned by a two-day conference on Tuesday, 2 June and Wednesday, 3 June at Liverpool's historic Town Hall.
Hosted and organised by the UK's 3PL trade body, the United Kingdom Warehousing Association, the conference theme is: 'Change equals new opportunities - the changing face of global logistics, and the opportunities for you'. The Town Hall is located close to the convention hotel - Hard Days Night Hotel.
IFWLA's newly elected president, Derrick Potter, chairman of Potter Logistics UK, says: "Liverpool is a city that is undergoing a significant regeneration program and an ideal showcase for the UK's logistics industry. I am looking forward to organising a conference program which will deliver high networking value and lasting memories."
IFWLA aims to promote the warehousing and logistics industry; collect, study and exchange information and views on matters of common interest to members; advance global connections and develop good relationships between members. Each year, the federation hosts a warehousing logistics industry convention in a different region of the world.
The UKWA is the UK's only trade association dedicated to serving the warehousing and logistics sector. Established in 1944, the association's nearly 600 member companies control nearly 100 million sqft. (9.3 million sqm) of warehousing space in nearly 1,300 UK locations.
