A California employment-related lawsuit against Crown Equipment Corp is proceeding through oral arguments before Judge Robert L Hess in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Attorneys for former Crown field service technicians Nathanial Werner and Cory Makami filed the suit, seeking class-action status, on 10 June 2010. The case has drawn industry interest, including 56 comments through the Forkliftaction.com Discussion Forum.

The plaintiffs say that Crown violated California Labor Code employment laws and regulations in failing to provide meal and rest periods, pay overtime wages, furnish accurate wage and hour statements and pay all wages earned.

New Bremen, Ohio-based Crown vigorously denies the validity of the claims.
