Lift-Tek Elecar, founded in 1972 in Italy, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. 

First opened by three technicians from the forklift industry in a small warehouse in Castel San Giovanni, Italy, Lift-Tek Elecar has since grown into a large operation serving the European market, designing and manufacturing a wide variety of forklift masts used on both electric and internal combustion (IC) forklifts, very narrow aisle lift trucks, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and more.

“We are grateful for the support, contribution and dedication from both employees and customers that have made it possible for Lift-Tek Elecar to reach this milestone,” says Diego Colombi, managing director of Lift-Tek Elecar. 

“I’d sincerely like to thank everyone who has been part of our history and contributed to our growth over the years.”

Currently based in Piacenza, Italy, Lift-Tek Elecar employs 230 people. 

The company was acquired by Cascade Corporation in October 2021 as a wholly owned subsidiary, along with its North American counterpart, Lift Technologies, Inc., located in Westminster, South Carolina. Lift-Tek’s special engineering capabilities combined with Cascade’s latest attachment technologies—such as mobile weighing and sensing capabilities— provide enhanced options for customers in need of specialised, integrated mast/attachment solutions for the front end of their forklift or AGV.
