Sales of Kalmar's new Contchamp Generation F and Contmaster reachstackers have outstripped the company's sales targets in their first year on the market.

The reachstackers were introduced in September last year. Product manager Per Rosengren said placements of new orders had been running particularly high for nine months.

"Both Contchamp and Contmaster have been performing extremely well since we introduced them. Sales are well ahead of our targets all over the world, exceeding expectations by almost 40%," he said.

Mr Rosengren said sales had been strong in Europe and the USA and the reachstackers had attracted 15 orders from Africa. More than 25 were sold to terminal operators in Brazil.
