New Series 2 reach truck |
Jungheinrich has launched two new Series 2 pantograph reach trucks tailored specifically to the requirements of the North American market. Developed by the Jungheinrich Design Centre in Houston, Texas, this type of truck is also suited to numerous applications in other markets, including South America, the Asia Pacific region and the Middle East.
The new compact ETR 230 and ETR 235 trucks complement the existing 3 series with lifting capacities of up to 2,000 kg.
The range is characterised by its mast that is permanently fixed to the chassis. A movable fork carriage in the form of a pantograph performs the reaching and tilting functions. This makes the truck highly compact and, owing to its fixed mast which serves as a counterbalance, gives it a high residual lifting capacity - even at high lift heights.
ETR 230 and ETR 235 are powered by 36v three-phase AC motors capable of nearly 12 km/h.
Optional features include 17 different base leg openings, ranging from 839 to 1,245 mm, and eight different load wheel configurations. In addition, customers can select from seven different mast heights of 4,953 to 7,595 mm. A fork camera facilitates safe load handling from any pallet position and Jungheinrich also has a comprehensive optional package of features for refrigerated warehouse operations.
