JLG Industries Inc has been named the seventh fastest-growing global company by InformationWeek magazine.

JLG president and CEO Bill Lasky said the company was pleased to rank so highly among US-based companies with international operations.

"We have maintained a strategic focus on expanding our international business for many years and we continue to believe there is enormous growth potential overseas, particularly in Europe," Lasky said.

"With sales and service operations on six continents, the ongoing effort of each team member has been essential to reaching our goals. We are very proud of our people - [they are] our greatest asset."

Global information provider Reuters worked with public data like Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) filings to provide Information Week with corporate information and financial data estimates that resulted in a Global 50 list.

The list comprised the 50 fastest-growing, US-based companies that had overseas operations.

Information Week and its sister publication Optimize magazine ranked the companies on the basis of year-over-year growth as a percentage of revenue.

They looked at companies that reported 2004 year-end fiscal results on or before March 1, 2005, that operated in and outside the US and revealed international and domestic revenue contributions.
