Most organisations have a lot on their plate at the moment. COVID-19 has placed a strain on operations, supply lines, sales and, not least, personnel.
But as our Safety First blog this week points out, routine tasks cannot be overlooked just because of the unprecedented circumstances. Fleet managers need to make sure that all operators are following procedures and maintaining safe practices at all times.
The expert advocates refresher training for operators - just as you would do in normal circumstances. But obviously, that training needs to be re-evaluated because of COVID-19 restrictions, so you'll need to ensure that you aren't introducing a new risk when you send your drivers for instruction.
