Our Chinese readers are this week celebrating the start of a new year, the Year of the Snake. According to one of the many Near Year's greetings we received, this zodiac cycle is noted for "steady progress and attention to detail". After the difficult years we have been through, "steady progress" sounds like a welcome change. And, as in all areas of business, attention to detail is probably one of the main prerequisites of success in materials handling.
