It looks like a recovery is well under way, with figures from one of the market leaders indicating a global rise in demand for materials handling equipment in the first four months of the year. Particularly encouraging about the Jungheinrich overview is the performance of Europe and North America - both up more than a third on last year. And even better news is that the order books are expected to continue to show increases for the rest of the year.
Unfortunately, the prediction came before the renewed concerns about the Greek economy and fears about the impact of a possible debt default on the European market and the broader economy.
