The global financial crisis may be over, but the International Monetary Fund is still warning of uncertainty. Speaking in Washington, IMF managing director Dominique Strauss-Kahn, listed the current challenges as Japan, where the immediate focus is on rebuilding, and the Middle East which is "going through a historic transformation". Even Europe is at a crossroads, he said, with not only some countries, but the whole European economy under threat. The bottom line: "the economic situation is still fragile and uneven, beset by great uncertainty".
