Friday marks Chinese New Year, welcomed around the world with the traditional Lantern Festival.
In Chinese astrology, 2021 is the year of the Ox, and should be a good one, characterised by hard work and honesty. According to mythology, the ox was meant to get the first month of the year, but the rat hitched a ride with the ox and then jumped the queue to score the year.
After the sneaky year we had last year, we can but hope the spirit of the ox prevails and sees us through the tough times.
All of us at Forkliftaction wish our Chinese readers 笑口常开 - a year filled with an abundance of smiles and laughter.
