Continental's CSEasy industrial tire made its world debut at CeMAT, Hannover, in May last year. This novel wheel/tire system does not require a mounting press.
CSEasy - the name says it all. Dealing with this solid-rubber tire is simple. The wheel / tire system which has an adapter between the tire and rim renders the mounting press redundant. With a torque wrench the
CSEasy tire can be mounted quickly and easily on any Lemmerz-contoured rim. The conical shape of the adapter and the bolt connection make for optimum rim seating.
 The CSEasy Mounting steps |
This innovation offers benefits for end users, retailers and OEM suppliers:-
- More flexibility thanks to the elimination of the mounting press, accessory components and the rim pool but also reduced down time and a reusable adapter.
- Higher performance due to enhanced technical properties like optimum rim seating, low rolling resistance, high temperature tolerance or higher dynamic load capacity for transporting heavy loads.
- An improved level of safety through optimized side-tilt stability and improved steering precision.
- More economical, because of reduced vehicle downtime and much lower rolling resistance.
A press is no longer required for mounting the tire. The tire can be fitted directly on to a rim with a torque wrench. Thereby reducing significant amount of time for tire changes. Also reduces the complexity of mounting a tire as less handling is involved within the process.
Super-Elastic tires are in a class all their own in both technical and economic terms. Their solid-rubber design is the optimum choice for many jobs - in the warehouse, in industrial production and logistics and in many other areas.
Continental Super-Elastic tires (CSE) are ideally suited to extremely grueling applications. They exhibit exceptional stationary stability, are virtually breakdown-proof and absolutely maintenance-free.
CSE tires have been manufactured in Korbach, Hesse, since 1966.
Continental AG was the first company to develop a Super Elastic (SE) tire capable of being mounted on a pneumatic tire rim. Today's
CSE product group is derived from this original concept. With the SIT range (Snap-In Tire),
Continental has continued its innovative programme of SE tires.
Continental is the only tire maker offering the comprehensive range of industrial tires. With its product offering,
Continental is no. 1 in Germany and Europe and among the top 3 worldwide.
The
Continental Corporation is a leading supplier of brake systems, chassis components, vehicle electronics, tires and technical elastomers. In 2005 the corporation realized sales of EUR13.8 billion. At present it has a worldwide workforce of more than 79,849.
