Combilift wins design award
MONAGHAN, IrelandCombilift Ltd's design team has won the Fork Lift Truck Association's design achievement award at the annual awards for excellence.
Combilift said the award was a testimony to the achievement of pioneers Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett, who created the Combilift four-directional forklift truck.
McVicar, who was named Ernst & Young entrepreneur of the year in 2001, said he was delighted the forklift industry had recognised the benefits of the Combilift solution, which initially challenged conventional design theory.
