Undeterred by COVID-19 travel restrictions, organisers of the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year Award (IFOY award) staged a Hollywood-style award ceremony to name the winners virtually.
"Special times require special solutions, and transformation is the key to success," said the executive chairperson of the jury, Anita Würmser.
Bosch Rexroth won its first IFOY Award with its Locator - Laser Localization Software in the category of Intralogistics Software.
Combilift picked up the Warehouse Truck - lowlifter accolade for its compact and agile Combi-CS.
American manufacturer Crown took out the Warehouse Truck - highlifter award for its ESR 1000 1.6 T electric forklift.
In the AGV & Intralogistics Robot category, the jury selected the TractEasy autonomous tugger train from the French manufacturer EasyMile.
Chinese manufacturer Sany won an IFOY Award in the Special Vehicle category with its RSC45H9 hybrid reachstacker.
The Counterbalance honours went to Germany's Still for its 2.5 T RX 60 electric counterbalance forklift.
The IFOY Award in the Start-up of the Year category went to Wiferion, formerly Blue Inductive, for its etaLINK 3000 contactless wireless charging system.
The IFOY Awards honour the best intralogistics products and solutions of the year. IFOY has established itself as an indicator of economic efficiency and innovation and is regarded as the leading innovation award in intralogistics due to its technical expertise.
