BEDFORD PARK, Illinois, Business continues to grow for Hoist Liftruck Mfg., Inc. as demand for high capacity liftrucks is at an all-time high. Hoist continues to book new orders, and we are seeing month over month increases in sales. This growth is attributed to improving economic conditions, increased international sales and increased sales in our core industries. Due to the increase in sales, Hoist has invested significant money in the redevelopment of our existing manufacturing space and invested in new machinery to further implement automation in our factory, resulting in increased capacity and throughput. This has allowed Hoist to drastically decrease lead times, almost by as much as half making most units available within 12 weeks or less.

• Hoist has implemented state-of-the-art wire harness testing on all truck series. This allows all wiring harnesses and connectors to be 100% tested prior to installation, improving quality while reducing total costs.


• Hoist has recently purchased multiple welding robots utilizing the latest technology. Improving weld consistency, decreasing manufacturing costs and insuring faster lead times to pass the savings onto its customers.


• Over the past year, Hoist has been updating hydraulic materials with metal hydraulic tubing in lieu of rubber hosing for many applications. New fuel and hydraulic tank testing on every tank verifies a "liquid tight" weld integrity along with hydraulic system die testing to verify zero leaks and insure quality.


• Along with the inside manufacturing improvements, Hoist has improved techniques in its paint departments to insure the highest quality. A new semi-automated powder coating line in place includes surface preparation improvements and precise baking duration. In addition, scoring and solvent tests are performed weekly to verify quality.


• Hoist's purchasing team is working closely with each manufacturing department to increase productivity. The combination of in-house manufacturing and reputable, domestic vendors allows Hoist Liftruck to have extremely competitive lead times for all truck series. Hoist Liftruck's standardization of components helps ensure fast lead times and provides customers with excellent service and parts support.
