Gaussin Manugistique will distribute CES Italy's VRS

Gaussin Manugistique in France has been appointed exclusive dealer by CES Italy of its VRS (variable wheelbase reach stacker) in certain markets. These include France and francophone countries such as Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and certain West African countries, as well as Madagascar, Lebanon, the UAE, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia.

The VRS was officially launched in Verona last week by CES Italy, a 100% affiliate of CES Container Handling Equipment & Solutions GmbH in Germany. The latter company is Gaussin's distributor in Germany.

In addition, Gaussin will supply the modular power packs for the CES VRS when customers request hybrid or fully electric power packs.

A range of power packs using different fuels or lithium-ion batteries has already been developed by Gaussin for its automotive terminal trailers (ATT) - both the passive ATT and ATT-LIFT, which deposits containers in a docking station to create buffers in the terminal handling chain.

According to Gaussin, CES in Germany has placed multiple orders for its fully electric ATT-LIFT machines and straddle carrier docking stations, as well as for fully electric power packs and battery chargers.

These are intended for renting to port operators in Germany.
