Fresenius Kabi's 400-plus product lines will be distributed by DHLMedical products provider Fresenius Kabi has appointed DHL Supply Chain to manage its growing warehousing and logistics requirements in Australia.
Fresenius Kabi’s 400-plus product lines will be distributed from DHL’s healthcare-grade facility in the southwestern Sydney suburb of Horningsea Park.
DHL says its Horningsea Park site, a dedicated facility for storing pharmaceuticals, medical devices, vaccines, animal health, diagnostics and consumer health products, is Australia’s first carbon-neutral warehouse.
The 35,000 square metre site is powered entirely by green electricity.
“Moving to a carbon-neutral warehouse supports our commitment to leaving a planet worth living on for future generations,” says Juan Villar, senior vice-president North East Asia-Pacific at Fresenius Kabi.
The company has signed a five-year third party logistics (3PL) contract with DHL for storage, inbound and outbound functions which were previously managed in-house.
“Fresenius Kabi has a significant range of products that are used to save lives and help to improve the health of Australians and we’re proud to be trusted with their logistics needs,” DHL Supply Chain Australia chief executive officer Steve Thompsett says.
