Participants at CONEXPO Russia

The CONEXPO Russia tradeshow in 2009 is already 50% booked, after the success of the first one of its kind held this month in Russia.

Construction equipment companies from around the world converged on Russia this month to attend the inaugural show.

Show organisers report the attendance this year "exceeded expectations". Over 230 exhibitors demonstrated their products and services over 34,330 square metres, with more than 6,000 visiting the show.

The 2008 CONEXPO Russia was based on the CONEXPO-CON/AGG trade show model used by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

Attendees to the show were able to participate in more than 20 education sessions and next year's event will feature sessions designed to assist construction professionals improve their businesses through the latest equipment, technology and industry training.
