The only international exhibition dedicated 100% to Intralogistics and Automation in Latin America, which took place between September 3 and 5 in São Paulo, highlighted the innovative potential of the segments
From September 3 to 5, the city of São Paulo became the capital of Intralogistics with the first edition of INTRA-LOG Expo South America, the only international event dedicated 100% to Intralogistics and Automation in Latin America. A total of 4,600 highly qualified professionals visited the trade fair, which exceeded the business and audience expectations of exhibitors and organizers.
"There was a longing for a fair specifically for intralogistics and automation, which would show the market the innovative potential of these segments. The new technology on display in the event halls, whether in robotics, augmented reality, Artificial Intelligence and many others, made it clear that the days of analog intralogistics are behind us," celebrated Cassiano Facchinetti, Managing Director of INTERLINK Exhibitions, co-founder of the event.
Organized by this B2B events company and the IMAM Group, the fair brought more than 200 brands to Expo Center Norte, represented by around 100 exhibitors. They presented solutions for companies of all sizes, in five themes: automation, technology, innovation, security and sustainability.
"Many of the companies that were with us were taking part in events with other themes, which reach wider audiences, and we arrived with the mission of bringing the sector together again to boost business - and it worked superbly," says Facchinetti.
The exhibitors confirm Facchinetti's analysis. This is the case with Rafael Kessler, Combilift's Engineering Director: "Some of the visitors had booked in advance and were able to see our equipment in operation here at the fair and, as a result, we made progress in negotiations. Most of the contacts made at INTRA-LOG Expo were from professionals who knew exactly what they wanted and we generated good leads here."
Manuel Luque, Sales Director at Mexican company Kroninn, said that participation in the fair was positive, and that it would also help their growth plans in Brazil. "We have clients asking us to provide services here in Brazil, which we already do in Mexico and Colombia, which is why we opened an operation in São Paulo. We took advantage of this space to look for new clients and it worked out very well."
Augusto Ghiraldello, co-founder and Executive VP of Invent, said that INTRA-LOG is very specific and brings a very qualified audience. "We chose to exhibit at INTRA-LOG precisely because the event model is focused on intralogistics. The visitors who came to us were really interested and looking for solutions in technology and automation."
INTRA-LOG received support of leading companies in their segments, which were involved in the launch of the event - among them, Águia Sistemas, Bertolini, Cassioli, CD Embalagens, Paletrans, Retrak, Saur, Combilift, Scheffer, Spark, ULMA Handling Systems and Portilhioli.
"Our aim is to combine intralogistics hardware with automation intelligence to make operations more agile, more efficient and safer, an important point in this process. And to give total visibility so that you know what is happening in real time, providing greater control and sustainability, as well as reducing costs," said Eduardo Banzato, director of the IMAM Group and INTRA-LOG Expo ambassador.
High-level attractions
In parallel with the INTRA-LOG Expo South America trade fair, the 1st INTRA-LOG Forum took place, the scene of a highly qualified debate on the future and trends in the sector and their impact on company operations.
Renowned speakers addressed topics such as artificial intelligence applied to the flow of goods and the digitalization of supply chains, highlighting how these technologies are already being implemented to tackle operational bottlenecks and accelerate companies' competitiveness.
"We are experiencing a new era in intralogistics, where technology is not just a competitive differentiator, but a vital necessity for sustainable growth," commented Banzato, one of the Forum's highlights.
The event also featured cases from companies such as Mercado Livre, Leroy Merlin, St. Marché and the Superior Court of Justice, among others.
One meeting point that attracted attention for its interactive nature was the Tech Arena - a space designed for visitors to experience in practice the latest innovations in handling and storage with some degree of automation. In the space, and throughout the aisles of the fair, visitors interacted with robots, AMRs (autonomous vehicles for transporting cargo), and drones programmed to take stock inventories.
"The aim was to showcase the solutions in a more effective and practical way for visitors to the fair. A very technological area, with all the essence of intralogistics. In 2025 we will have a larger Tech Arena with much more news," explained Roberto Deivid, CEO of Grupo Painel Logístico, who coordinated the area.
A second area that attracted visitors was the Innovations Hub. Located in a prominent area of the pavilion, the space was the stage for talks, workshops and networking, with free presentations on the trends and launches of the event's exhibitors. AI applied to intralogistics; the advantages of renting forklift trucks; secure warehouses; and the verticalization of storage and order preparation were all on the agenda.
Intra-LOG South America 2025
INTERLINK Exhibitions and the IMAM Group have already announced that the second edition will be held next year: from September 9 to 11, 2025, also in the Yellow Hall at Expo Center Norte.
"We are committed to bringing more and more innovation and relevance to the market. INTRA-LOG EXPO 2025 promises to be even bigger, bringing the main solutions for a sector that is constantly evolving," says Facchinetti.
According to him, more than 80% of exhibitors have already renewed their space for next year, demonstrating in numbers the positive impact of the first edition of the event. "In addition, many new companies have approached us to book their stands. INTRA-LOG South America 2025 will once again be a success and there will be plenty of space!" he concludes.
