Fitzgerald Equipment Co marks its 50th year in business.

In 1962, Eugene Fitzgerald founded the company, which his son, Kevin, and grandsons, Eric and Michael, now operate.

Fitzgerald Equipment represents Yale and Big Joe forklifts, Interthor hydraulic hand pallet jacks, Bulldog batteries and chargers, Cascade attachments, Nilfisk-Advance sweepers and scrubbers and Cushman personnel and maintenance vehicles.

Fitzgerald Equipment has 65 employees at locations in Rockford and, 140 mi. (225 km) to the south, Mackinaw, Illinois, serving the Peoria metropolitan area.
