Elokon unveils Elofusion forklift safety systemElokon has released Elofusion, a single, integrated environmental warning and fleet management system designed to improve the safety and productivity of forklift fleets.
The new system combines the capabilities of two of the telematics and safety system specialist’s other products, the ultra-wideband (UWB)-based Eloshield proximity detection system and the fleet management platform Elofleet.
According to the company, the system delivers collision avoidance and automatic speed reduction, as well as the capacity for comprehensive fleet management and centralized data analysis.
Using UWB radio waves to gauge the distance between the forklift and surrounding obstacles, Elofusion ensures precise detection and avoidance of vehicles and people.
It provides the intelligent adjustment of speed in danger zones such as doorways or confined spaces and facilitates the central analysis of fleet data to identify efficiency potential and optimise processes.
Further features include RFID access control, impact sensors to detect violent damage, electronic safety checklists, analysis of driving, logging and idle times, battery management, and preventive maintenance scheduling.
“Elofusion, which combines proven detection systems and fleet management capabilities, can be added directly to existing and new fleets of forklifts so companies can reduce the risk of accidents and facilitate the management of their fleets without wasting a dime,” says Elokon CEO, Alexander Glasmacher.
