The ELivate product line is being introduced in 36 V followed by 48 V models |
Canadian battery maker Electrovaya has launched a lithium-ion ceramic product line for the Class I and II forklift markets.
The forklift market is heavily dominated by lead-acid battery solutions that cannot keep up with the demands of today's warehouse and logistics environments, according to the company.
Increased demands on operational efficiency, 24-hour operations and more advanced vehicles make a case for better energy solutions. The product line, which is branded ELivate, will leverage Electrovaya's lithium-ion ceramic battery technology that boasts up to six times the lifecycle of existing lead-acid solutions and up to twice the lifecycle of other lithium-ion products.
The lithium-ion ceramic battery system is offered as a drop-in lead-acid replacement for Class I and Class II forklifts.
Electrovaya says the safety provided by its SEPARION ceramic separator technology provides users with confidence in implementing a new technology in their operations.
The ELivate product line is being introduced in 36 V followed by 48 V models for Class I and II forklifts.
Electrovaya designs, develops and manufactures proprietary lithium-ion batteries, battery systems and battery-related products for energy storage, clean electric transportation and other specialised applications. Headquartered in Ontario, Canada, Electrovaya has production facilities in Canada and Germany, with customers around the globe.
