ContainerCo places order for six new empty container handlersIndependent New Zealand container depot, ContainerCo, has signed a deal with equipment manufacturer Kalmar for six empty container handlers.
Auckland-headquartered ContainerCo was founded in 2013. It now operates at 12 sites across New Zealand selling and leasing new and second-hand containers to shipping clients and private customers.
The empty container order was booked in Kalmar’s Q3 2024 order intake, with delivery of the machines scheduled to begin in early Q1 2025.
ContainerCo’s current fleet includes 12 Kalmar empty container handlers.
ContainerCo’s fleet manager Darren Douglas says of the order for the six new container handlers: “Kalmar has proven to be a valuable partner for our operations and we have been very satisfied with the quality and reliability of their equipment and the responsiveness of their service teams”.
