FAIRVIEW, OR,
Cascade Corporation announces the implementation of an international nameplate. This new design will replace 20 + differing Cascade nameplates currently being shipped on product. This allows Cascade to ship product from any manufacturing location to any end user around the world. Steve Wittkop, Technical Publication Manager developed the new global nameplate to assist relaying technical information in a format understandable worldwide.
Various Occupational Safety and Health Organizations around the world require nameplates be affixed to forklift truck attachments. Information typically included in nameplates, such as capacity and system pressure needs to be clearly understood by users in order for them to operate equipment safely. The Icon-Based nameplate uses international symbols to convey catalog number, serial number, additional equipment, maximum capacity, load center, weight and maximum pressure. It replaces numerous language specific nameplates, reducing inventories and netting a huge savings in both labor and capital. A legend explaining the various symbols in all official European Union Languages, as well as Russian, Chinese and Japanese is included with every shipment. It is also available on the Cascade website
www.cascorp.com in the Nameplate Locator Section.
