For close to half a century now, Carer has been at the forefront in the design and creation of electric forklifts. Despite the many challenges that have taken place in recent times, Carer has not deviated from their focus to always be revolutionizing the electric forklift industry.

In 2020, at the peak of the pandemic, and despite the obstacles it presented, Carer launched its iconic A160-200@1200X, the first electric forklift truck capable of competing with the most powerful of diesel forklifts.

In 2021, we saw the launch of another groundbreaking solution, the A140-160-Short. With capacities ranging from 31,000lbs, to 35,000lbs at a 48inch load center, this A series truck shocked the industry with its extremely small footprint and ability to maintain high capacity.

Now as we enter 2022, yet another launch is about to take place with the A70X. This model was a response to the industry’s demand for a 15,500lb. electric truck, while featuring the same design and performance as the much larger AX models. The result was an electric solution that delivers lower capacity, a smaller footprint, but with a highly efficient 96-volt operating system.

The new A70X has been designed specifically for both indoor and outdoor use, and ideal for those applications requiring high capacity and maximum lift heights in confined spaces.  For this reason, the A70X is recognized as a very versatile machine, one that can be utilized in a variety of applications that would otherwise be a challenge for most other forklifts.

This 15,500lb. capacity electric forklift, when launched in the European market, was immediately in demand in the lumber, steel, paper, gypsum, cement, and aluminum industries, as well as miscellaneous types of manufacturing companies needing to transport processed products at the end of the production cycle.

Aesthetically, the machine is identical to the 17,500lb, A80X model. In fact, it was built using the same chassis and frame but has been equipped with varying componentry, such as the hydraulics, and inverter. By modifying the various components, Carer was able to offer a solution that can deliver the same level of performance and efficiency as the higher capacity AX series, but with a lower capacity and price point.

When designing this new compact AX model, the engineers at Carer took a very close look at ways they could offer a solution, that could excel in confined and restrictive environments. By reconfiguring the mast assembly and including super-elastic tires with a reduced surface space, they were able to maintain stability while increasing maneuverability.

Another key feature of the Carer A70X is the considerable reduction in operating costs. It has significantly fewer moving parts than a comparable IC forklift, which decreases the frequency of intervals necessary for checking or replacing worn components. This represents a substantial cost reduction in parts and maintenance.  Further cost savings would be realized in fuel savings, extended life cycle, and reduce tire wear and consumption.

The reduction in its carbon footprint, is also a milestone regarding its environmental impact. This helps meet the green initiatives of most companies, who must comply with strict anti-pollution requirements to meet international regulations.

Key Specifications:

  • Two AC powered traction motors integrated in the front axle, generating enhanced acceleration, torque, and quicker travel speeds.
  • Long Operating Times, thanks to a highly efficient 96V operating system, and up to 1548 Ah capacity lithium battery – designed for high utilization, 3 shifts, 24/7 applications.
  • Electric hydraulic brakes.
  • Advanced Multifunctional Display.
  • Seat Grammer MSG in sky.
  • Tilt Cylinders are mounted on the overhead guard, providing more stability and less exposure to damage.
  • The standard six carriage rollers provide stability at maximum lift heights.
  • Programable reduction of travel speed system for cornering.
  • Automatic parking brake.
  • Cab is mounted on silent blocks, to eliminate sound and vibration.
  • Standard rear-view camera.
  • Proportional Electrohydraulic Valve bank with three functions and three fingertip mini levers.

The new Carer A70X electric forklift truck, represent a great distinction in the material handling landscape, because:

  • They are as powerful and efficient as combustion trucks.
  • They are economically advantageous – typical ROI is less than 24 months.
  • They are safe, guaranteeing a healthy work environment free from emissions, vibrations, and noise.
  • They are green, as they respect the environment.
  • They can be customized in accordance to the specific needs of international customers.
