Big Lift launches stacker for furnaces
Lombard, IL, United StatesBig Lift has launched a special version of the Big Joe PDM Straddle stacker for precise materials handling in vacuum furnace applications.
It says the vehicle's uniqueness is a mechanism designed to place loads far inside vacuum furnaces. These furnaces often cost over USD500,000 and can be subject to damage during loading and unloading so precision materials handling is important.
Infraestructura Portuaria Mexicana orders RTGs
Stockholm, SwedenPinfra subsidiary Infraestructura Portuaria Mexicana (IPM) has ordered two all-electric Kalmar E-One2 rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes and is getting Cargotec to upgrade its two existing quay cranes.
IPM is enhancing its terminal operations at the Port of Altamira as container traffic in the region increases.
Delivery of the RTGs is slated for the second quarter of 2011.

Cooper SH announces heavy forklift upgrades
Kenilworth, United KingdomCooper SH, the UK's distributor of Konecranes, has introduced upgrades to its heavy forklift range that it says offers the highest safety specifications and helps fleet owners reduce their costs.
The upgrades include a remodeled chassis design on the heavy forklift range that Cooper SH claims enhances rearward visibility and provides a greater engine cooling capacity.
