Konecranes' major German order
HYVINKÄÄ, FinlandKonecranes has received an order for 10 straddle carriers from Eurogate Container Terminal Hamburg GmbH.
The contract includes a service agreement for the warranty period and the machines are expected to be delivered in February 2008.
The order value is confidential but Konecranes says the price of similar machines is in the range of EUR650,000-EUR850,000 (USD918,320-USD1,201 million).
New Holland machines for US
CAROL STREAM, IL, United StatesNew Holland Construction is introducing the M Series telehandlers in North America.
Produced at the plant in Lecce, Italy, the New Holland M427, M428 and M459 are designed to work in commercial and residential construction, agriculture and landscaping.
The machines were first launched at World of Concrete in Las Vegas this year.
Clark is company of the year

The award recognises Clark's long-standing support of the APICS Bluegrass Chapter and the operations management profession.
Clark CEO Dennis Lawrence says APICS had provided "excellent education" to Clark employees responsible for supply chain and materials functions.
Cascade buys back shares
PORTLAND, OR, United StatesCascade Corp plans to buy back USD50 million of its shares over the next two years.
Cascade said on Monday repurchases will be made based on market conditions, relevant securities laws and other factors.
Existing bank credit facilities and cash from operations will fund the share buyback, the company said.
New terminal in Rotterdam
ROTTERDAM, The NetherlandsThe world's leading shipping executives have signed a EU900 million (USD1,271 million) pact for a new terminal to be built on reclaimed land in Rotterdam.
DP World, APL, Mitsui OSK Lines, Hyundai Merchant Marine and CMA CGM are five members of the terminmal consortium known as Rotterdam World Gateway.
The consortium will be the first terminal to be set up on the Maasvlakte 2 reclaimed site. The terminal is expected to have a throughput of 4 million TEUs when it opens in 2013.
