Kenny Weiss from GT Produce with Matthew Board from AAGGT Produce acquires new forklifts

Leeds-based fruit and vegetable wholesaler GT Produce has added four Toyota Tonero LPG forklifts to its operations, having seen a significant increase in deliveries in the years since the Covid pandemic.
GT Produce operations director Kenny Weiss explains the new forklifts were needed because the business was operating at full capacity.
“Our forklifts, which had seen considerable use, needed to be replaced,” Weiss continues.
The purchase was supported by Asset Alliance’s General Asset Finance division.
“The new forklifts replace decades old models, and offer immediate improvements in productivity and reliability, while delivering a significant reduction in emissions,” GT Produce states.
“Three of the trucks have a lifting capacity of 3,000kg, and the other 2,500kg.”

Wize Solutions has moved into the Phoenix area
Phoenix-based York Warehouse Equipment Erectors has been acquired by materials handling equipment installation company Wize Solutions.
York’s staff and senior leadership team will join Wize Solutions under the deal which was secured as Wize looks to further penetrate new domestic US markets.
Wize Solutions president Tyson Bigelow explains: “The need for material handling solutions continues to increase in demand, and this acquisition helps Wize be in a better position to support our current and growing customer base”.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
BW Crane releases straddle carrier

BW Crane's new container carrier
BW Crane, a subsidiary of Chinese equipment manufacturer Jiangsu BW, has announced the development of a new container straddle career which can lift loads up to 60T, or the equivalent of two fully loaded containers, the company states.
BW Crane says the new straddle carrier also features technology which allows for precise operation and are able to be used in all-terrains.
The company was approached for additional detail but declined to say when they would be launched to market.
