AutoGuide introduces remote wireless controller
TroY, MI, United StatesAutoGuide, a provider of automated guided vehicles (AGVs), has introduced a new wireless pendant with remote route programming and diagnostics for its TV Series of AGVs. The wireless pendant can be run on a tablet computer, giving users complete programming capability, remote access to diagnostics and reports, and the ability to drive the AGVs without having to stand next to the vehicles.
The wireless pendant utilises the industry-standard Android operating system, which allows for secure communication between the vehicle and the tablet. The pendant uses dual-pairing authentication and untethered manual controls of vehicle movement and provides monitoring of Wi-Fi spectrum. The pendant display also shows multiple status readings, including alarms, path parameters, battery voltage, last RFID tag read, I/O status and more.

UniCarriers marks Arbor Day
Marengo, IL, United StatesUniCarriers Americas Corporation celebrated Arbor Day at its Marengo headquarters by planting a blossoming crab apple tree to commemorate its most recent product launch, the WLX series 4,500 lb. capacity walkie pallet trucks. Since 2002, UCA has had a tradition of planting a tree on Arbor Day to celebrate a new product launch or special event.
"In nature, few things epitomise growth and prosperity quite like trees, so we are very proud to participate in a holiday that encourages strong new beginnings by planting them," says UCA president James J. Radous III.
