Within manufacturing plants, lift tables stand out as a strategic asset.
These versatile devices boost productivity by facilitating the movement and positioning of loads, playing a crucial role in minimizing workplace injuries. By integrating lift tables into their operations, businesses can achieve a seamless workflow, reduce downtime, and ultimately drive growth and profitability.
Bolzoni lift tables are versatile solutions that find applications across a wide range of industries, including wood, plastic, glass, steel, and ceramics. They are used in various industrial environments such as warehouses, workshops, and other areas where lifting, lowering, and positioning of materials and products are required and vehicle loading. These lift tables are also essential in production lines, automated workstations, conveyor /packaging systems and heavy-duty application.
Thanks to a wide range of accessories and customization options to meet specific operational requirements, Bolzoni lift tables are adaptable to any industrial setting.
Thousands of applications
Scissor lift tables have become a commonly used type of equipment in many different industries.
"The lift table can solve many logistic problems," says Emanuela Solari, Bolzoni Group Product Manager. "Used as connection between different levels, these are a great solution for the manual load handling, in full observance of the European standards, safety and health of operators during work and cost saving."
Wood processing application case
An Italian company specialized in the production of birch plywood is planning to enhance production capabilities, to get more effective production line. To support this change, they introduced five BOLZONI lift tables, model 1T, equipped with roller conveyor on the top to transfer compressed panels to the correct height for cutting operation and then rolled along the production line.
"Lift tables equipped with roller conveyors on the top are commonly used in the woodworking industry. They handle furniture, doors, and paneling, particularly on pressing lines or in combination with automatic woodworking machines. These machines are essential in processes such as slat and parquet production, rotary-cut veneer manufacturing, and the plywood industry," says Emanuela Solari.
Advanced features and customization across industries
From single scissor lift tables to tandem scissor lift tables, the range includes models designed for various load capacities and applications:
- Single Scissor Lift Tables: Ideal for general material handling, these tables feature self-lubricating bushings and offer load capacities ranging from 500 kg to 10,000 kg.
- Low-profile lift tables: suitable for operations without floor pits, these tables have a lower height of just 80 mm, making them ideal for pallet handling.
- Tilting platform lift tables: feature tilting angles up to 35 degrees, allowing workers to access small parts easily and improving efficiency on assembly lines.
- Tandem Scissor Lift Tables: designed for handling long loads, these tables provide extended platform lengths and higher load capacities up to 3000 Kg. They are equipped with hydraulic power packs, low voltage control boxes, and maintenance props for safe operation.
- Loading bay lift tables: The ideal solution for loading or offloading trucks at ground level or in loading docks with varying vehicle heights, ensuring safe operation, even with off centered and crossing loads. They are available in two models: series 1S single scissors for loading operation by pedestrian trucks and series 1T single scissor for loading operation by a forklift trucks (capacity from 4000 to 10000 kg).
The wide range of products and the high level of customization and flexibility allow to meet specific requirements of many kinds of industries, where efficient material handling is crucial.
A comprehensive accessories proposal is available to enhance safety and meet regulatory standards. This proposal includes safety skirts, manual bridge plates, safety handrails, and gates, allowing for tailored solutions to specific operational requirements.
Enhancing Safety and Ergonomics
Safety and ergonomics are at the forefront of Bolzoni Group's design philosophy. The lift tables are equipped with numerous safety features, such as:
- aluminum safety bars to prevent the descent of the platform in case of contact with obstructions,
- safety clearance between scissors to prevent trapping during operation,
- hydraulic power packs with relief valves against overloading and compensated flow valves for controlled lowering speed, and
- low voltage control boxes to ensure safe operation with hold-to-run type controls and emergency stop buttons.
Additional safety features include safety handrails, goalposts, and manual bridge plates to ensure safe operation. All lift tables comply with European standards and in particular with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE and EN 1570-1 'Safety requirements for lift tables'.
Ergonomics can be defined as the study of people in their working environment. Its goal is to eliminate discomfort and risk of injury due to work. To accomplish this task BOLZONI lift tables aim to reduce the need for manual handling and awkward postures, contributing to a safer and more comfortable working environment.
Commitment to Sustainability
In addition to performance and safety, Bolzoni Group is committed to sustainability. The Green Line lift tables range is provided with biodegradable oil and designed with eco-friendly features that reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. This commitment to sustainability aligns with global efforts to promote greener industrial practices and responsible manufacturing.
