The Bolzoni Auramo clamps attached to Hyster forklifts will handle pulp bales. |
Forklift attachment manufacturer Bolzoni Auramo has delivered three clamps for heavy-duty pulp bale handling to the Port of Naples.
Mounted on Hyster 12 T forklifts, the clamps will handle pulp bales unloaded from ships on the docks, and transport them to warehouses before being loaded onto trucks for delivery in Italy. The order's value is confidential.
Bolzoni says it has boosted its fleet of clamps working in the Port of Naples, through its partnership with Merismar and Terminal Napoli, both part of the Klingenberg Group.
Merismar, a private stevedoring company operating in the Port of Naples since 1950, specialises in forestry products and siderurgical and palletised cargo, besides handling containers and general cargo.
Terminal Napoli manages Naples' cruise terminal and claims to have the most modern equipment for handling all types of cargo, and a large forklift fleet, with capacities ranging from 2.5 T to 30 T. The terminal can receive and reship pulp and all kinds of paper reels, from newsprint to kraftliner.
Bolzoni's cooperation with the Klingenberg Group began more than 25 years ago when Bo Vennstrom, Bolzoni's then sales director, finalised the supply of pulp clamps and tippling roll clamps to the latter with current executive vice-chairman Erik Klingenberg.
