Big Lift Trucks, specialists in industrial forklift trucks and container handling equipment, provides an efficient sales, repair and support service in Australia.

"The Australian organisation, which is part of a global group of materials handling specialists - Big Lift Trucks - is in the process of delivering six Taylor TEC 155H empty container handlers to a leading container operator," says Ken Mouritzen, managing director of Big Lift Trucks Australia. "These machines will be used to enhance container handling efficiencies in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Darwin.

"Big Lift Trucks supports these machines with a 'Taylor Sudden Service' maintenance programme that ensures optimum performance and extended service life of every machine.

"Assembly and commissioning of all machines is carried out by our technical manager, with the support of the maintenance team in each region. Operator training is also provided."

The Taylor range of quality branded industrial forklifts, which is available in Australia exclusively from
Big Lift Trucks, has lift capacities from 7 - 42 metric tons. These container handlers are not only reliable and easy to operate, but, unlike the competition, Taylor machines require simplified maintenance.

Big Lift Trucks also distributes Taylor 4x4 and rough terrain forklift trucks, with capacities from 7 - 18 metric tons.

Capacity terminal tractors, also available from Big Lift Trucks, improve container handling efficiencies in port operations and distribution centres. An important feature of these terminal tractors is reduced emissions for enhanced environmental protection and the latest technology in fuel savings, which significantly lowers operational and maintenance costs.

Big Lift Trucks has its head office in Brisbane, with branches in Melbourne and Perth. The company plans to open outlets in Sydney and Darwin in the near future.

The ready availability of quality branded equipment, spares and accessories throughout the country, is supported by a technical advisory, repair and maintenance service.

The establishment of Big Lift Trucks in Australia has been welcomed by the materials handling sector, particularly existing owners of Taylor machines who now have access to a local support and spare parts service.
