UK materials handing equipment dealer Bennie Equipment has acquired Milton Keynes-based Milton Keynes Forklift which has been delivering forklift solutions across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire for more than 30 years.

Bennie Equipment is a materials handling equipment provider in the UK which is continuing a strategy of rapid growth through acquisitions.

The Milton Keynes acquisition is the second for Bennie this year, having acquired Leominster-based Len Griffiths Forklifts in February. Len Griffiths Forklifts has a 45-year history of providing materials handling equipment to the Hertfordshire area.

In 2024, Bennie also acquired 4k Systems Ltd and South West Forklifts Ltd.

“Bennie is on a mission to grow its MHE presence across the UK and the acquisition of Milton Keynes Forklifts is the latest and marks our fourth milestone in this journey,” the company states.  “Given the synergies of both businesses it is business as usual as the partnership gets underway.”

Milton Keynes Forklifts managing director Ian Collins explains he had been looking for a partner to be his succession plan for his business and believes fourth generation family business Bennie was the company to do that.
