The Rock Island arsenal facility of the US Army Contracting Command is seeking bids for six commercial-grade forklifts for use in Boerne, Texas.
The command issued the final
solicitation in 27 August and requires submission of bids by 6 September in accordance with a variety of features and characteristics.
The Army plans for a prompt award of a firm fixed-price contract. Funding authorisation for the proposed procurement expires at the end of the US fiscal year on 30 September, says David Fields with the contracting command.
The Army wants one forklift with lifting capacity of 10,000 lb. (4,500 kg), two of 6,000 lb. (2,700 kg) and three of 4,000 lb. (1,800 kg).
The military will use the forklifts at its Camp Stanley Storage Activity location in Boerne.
Contractors providing goods or services to the US Department of Defence and its branches must be registered in the system for award management.
