"All things considered, Cascade is not the most attractive investment at this time," Simon E Shnayder says in a 25 February comment in the weekly Value Line Investment Survey newsletter. "Given the company's highly cyclical nature and its heavy exposure to the relatively slow-growing American and European economies, its earnings are unlikely to post exceptional gains in the next few years."Shnayder adds: "Although momentum investors may find some appeal in the company's potentially lucrative stake in emerging markets and the stock's more-than-270% jump since 2009, they should remain wary of the stock's high degree of volatility and frothy current valuation."Shnayder says Cascade has a solid balance sheet, good working capital and long-term debt representing less than 20% of total capital.Cascade did not respond to a request for comment.Publicly traded Value Line Inc of New York provides comprehensive investment services through statistical and text coverage of securities and a variety of niche newsletters.Forklift attachments maker Cascade reports profit of USD8.8 million on sales of USD107.4 million for the third quarter ended 31 October. A report on the fiscal year ended 31 January is expected in early April.Fairview-based Cascade makes materials handling load-engagement devices and related replacement parts, primarily for the forklift truck industry. The Value Line newsletter identifies publicly traded Bolzoni Auramo Group of Casoni di Podenzano, Italy as Cascade's largest competitor, with other companies in the attachments industry being "privately owned and deeply entrenched in local and regional markets".
