AmeraMex will supply eight new Taylor forklifts |
AmeraMex International, Inc., a provider of heavy equipment for logistics companies, infrastructure construction, logging and mining companies, has signed an agreement with a customer in Northern California for USD2.1 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, AmeraMex will ship eight new Taylor forklifts to the customer by December 1, 2015.
Details of the deal remain confidential.
The deal came just before the release of AmeraMex's latest financial report which showed revenue and profit slides in the first quarter, with sales down almost USD2 milion (USD936,00 - down from USD2.8 million in the first quarter of 2014).
On the upside, the company has signed a five-year government rental agreement worth USD837,000 and has received approval for shipping the first 100 trucks and trailers to Niger. The shipment is valued at approximately USD12 million and covers five years.
AmeraMex has entered into a partnership with SAS Congo in Pointe Noire, Congo, with CEO Lee Hamre explaining that a local presence is required to do business in the Republic of the Congo - as it does for Niger. As there are several opportunities in the Congo, the company has started the process of establishing a company, AmeraMex of The Congo, with partner SAS Congo.
On the Niger order, Hamre explains that the company is waiting for the inventory list from Niger's Minister of Transportation so that a purchase order and invoice can be created for the first shipment.
AmeraMex International sells, leases and rents heavy equipment to customers in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. It has over 30 years of experience in heavy equipment sales and service of top-of-the-line equipment from manufacturers such as Taylor Machine Works Inc. and Terex Heavy Equipment.
