Discussion:
Yale pallet jack

I'm getting a "Al 02" and a "Al 10" code on a mpb040 Yale pallet jack. Does any body have a manual for this unit. Thank you in advance

I've resently ran across a Yale pallet jack at a Walmart with the al 10 code and what I found was a bad connection at the motor causing the code, there was green corosion in one of the terminals causing the code I cleaned the connector and the problem went away suggested to the customer to replace the motor harness to fix permanently.

Youn can try to downlload the actual ZAPI manual from their website if you know the model of the controller. The manual will tell you the alarm codes. Most of the truck manufacturers will follow the circuit of the ZAPI controller.
Hope this help/

does this unit have a zapi controller? does the unit move, when pushed by hand, with the battery plugged in, (brakes release with battery power)?
There is a 2 wire molex connector, as part of the harness near the motor and controller, that allows the electrical brake to power up (release) when it is connected, so the unit can be pushed or moved even if the motor or controller is bad. if this connector is connected, I think these are the codes you get when you attempt to drive it normally.

sorry for the confusing statement i made, i didnt mean that it was making any sound
Alarm codes generally mean it is a circuit failure
there are also warning codes that are function faults like trying to operate a function out of sequence.

But the explanation of what those codes are is what i posted earlier :o)

zapi and sauer danfoss usually use these code prefixes is why i said it 'sounded like it was a zapi controller'

Hey Swoop,
The model is a mpb040-en24t2748. It wasn't making the alarm sound, it has a gauge with a display and battery meter
