Andy, there was a large web attack on very many computers running the software that serves up this type of dynamic web page that the forum is,
add you own http and :// and www
theregister.co.uk/2010/06/09/mass_webpage_attack/
I think we can be pretty sure that was the problem, and we can also be pretty sure it was cleaned up right away by forkliftactions IT staff.

Millreef, was there an announcement this weekend or did I miss it. Not discounting anything but you seemed sure there would be.

Not only Linde but Toyota and more importantly Barlow with the basic same truck. Briggs will get good discount from Yale to establish the brand

Dose this mean Yale are going to close in the UK and Briggs will be running the show on this side of the pond for yale. Briggs will start to under cut the likes of linde and good luck to them.

I can see Cat pulling out of UK there are is no market yet. What they might do is take there time and pick a good dealer. They still have Mitsubishi brand that seem's to be doing well so they might just concentrate on this bad deal for Hyster and Barlow world. More competition with same equipment Barlow are going to have to drop there prices to compete with Briggs

Briggs will announce this weekend that they have acquired Yale UK and that they will become the UK National dealer for Yale products.

Cannot believe they are giving up the CAT brand to sell Yale instead.

MCFE must be furious as Briggs were their largest dealer accounting for 20% of their European production.

Obviously the decision has been made in the US as they are already Yale's largest dealer.

I heard news today from a contractor that Briggs UK will be taking over some one any day now as Sammons Enterprises are going to foot the bill for the take over. Place your bets now!

Looking at Barlows Results they just might go for that. Would Barlowworld then concentrate on Construction equipment. Do you think they would want to go for the US side as well. In the US there seems to be some take overs of Hyster dealers by Yale dealers and Yale by Hyster so this would fit in with this thinking.and then have one dealer in UK who represents Yale and Hyster that would make sens

Briggs are owned by a hugely wealthy USA company called Sammons. Perhaps they will buy Barloworld's MH business which would fit with Cat dealers off loading MH businesses to concentrate on core business. Briggs seem to like buying loss making companies, why not Barloworld's MH ??

can't see forkway wanting to become a sub dealer it will raise there costs to much. If Briggs do take on Yale it will be interesting to see how Barlow react. They have had Hyster all to them selfs but a competitive Yale dealer might change that. we might just see both Briggs and Barlow working to gather remember some one once said that there was to be a Briggs Barlow tie up is this the start

The rumour is Briggs are acquiring Yale UK.

Perhaps they will become a sub dealer of Briggs as Briggs already have CAT sub dealers.

Could be that all the sub dealers will sell Yale instead of CAT or become sub dealers of Rushlift.
