Discussion:
Unit Idling Down and Stalling

I have an H30T propane engine, and the unit is randomly idling down, even from full speed, and then shutting off. It then takes a few seconds or minutes to want to start up again. There are no codes, and no consistency. We use these as paper roll clamp trucks, and the operators can have a full load or just travelling the aisles, or lifting. The events are only consistent in that it continues to happen every day.
Any thoughts?

Sorry for taking so long to get back on here. We found the issue. We had the Linde service truck come out and he had the problem sorted out within 1/2 hr. There are several lines to the throttle body/mixer and at least one of these lines was almost plugged solid with waxy oily crud. This was causing the intermittent stalling, because when you plug the small line or pinch it off the unit stalls. So when in operation the crud in the line would at times melt/run and plug the line but then open again. All it took was a coat hanger and some brake clean and flushing the line and we are up and running again. Happy Now!!!! Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

As far as the laptop goes, we are getting the patch to installed and awaiting the new software. It was sent to our dealer less than a week ago. Should return today or Monday.
Has anyone used the software? What kind of issues? Pathfinder had issues, and i've been using it for over 4 years and it never seemed to get better.

Yes. This is an impact sensing kit that shuts down the hydraulics when there is an impact greater than the setting allows. It's tied to the seat switch. We had them installed to try to reduce/eliminate unreported damage. It doesn't affect the starter though.

I have not tried this. When our laptop returns from being updated I will. What is the function? What does this do? As of yet there are no codes that appear. There were a few seat switch codes, but since the operators are on and off the unit all the time we have them appear on every unit. Even still the seat is quite new, less than a year old, I checked the wires to it and they seem ok. I even replaced the G-Force impact sensor kit, and the unit still seems to have issues.
I will reply again once I recheck with the laptop.

Do you have a diagnostic laptop with pathfinder on?
If you do in error codes/parameters under the traction tab there is a tab overide. Turn this option to 1 and check machine.

I haven't specifically checked that. I will. The only thing is that when the unit shuts down, it will not allow you to restart for some time, 30 seconds to a minute. Yeah ignition will not crank. Then when it comes back it fires right up. The operator mentioned that it seems to be when he functions several things at once, drive lift and clamp, (we are using paper roll clamps).
